FRP has been increasingly used to rehabilitate and retrofit reinforced concrete structures. About the Author
Hayder A. Rasheed is a professor and Thomas and Connie Paulson outstanding civil engineering faculty member at Kansas State University, Manhattan, USA. Previously, he was an assistant professor at Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois, USA. He holds a BS and MS from the University of Baghdad, Iraq, and a Ph.D from the University of Texas at Austin, USA. He is an ASCE fellow, registered professional engineer, author and co-author of 3 books and more than 50 refereed journal publications, and editorial board member of the International Journal of Structural Stability and Dynamics and the Open Journal of Composite Materials.

I am a structural engineer working in the New York City. I got the book this spring in order to better understand FRP design and construction in existing building renovation. This book is well-written, easy to follow and there are a lot of analysis and design examples in this book. This book is not only the state-of-the-art FRP academic researches, but also a good reference book for practitioners for practical FRP-based building renovation design.

I purchased this book for a course involving the external strengthening of reinforced concrete. The textbook does a great job of explaining the state of the practice, and explains the theory behind the strengthening of reinforced concrete with FRP well. Numerous analysis and design procedures and examples make it an excellent resource for practicing engineers.
