About the Author
Eliseo Mauas Pinto was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, andtook knowledge of the Celtic world at the age of twenty motivated by his love for literary and musical subjects.

He was the first tointroduce the Celtic Harp and Celtic Festivals in Argentina. As awriter, poet, musician and reviewer has published printed books inSpanish, Galician and Asturian languages, enlisting now some new workson eBook formats.

In the month of May 2003, the prestigiousGalician folk group "Luar na Lubre" add music to one of his poems. Thiscollaboration is crystallized in April 2004 with the inclusion of thispiece on two tracks from the album "Hai un Paraiso" published under thelabel Warner Music Spain.

On September 2008 created a blogsite of his own named "Celtic Sprite", where music, culture and literaturetakes place along with the collaboration of musicians and journalistsfrom other countries.

On January 2010 created the Facebook Page"Amigos Celtas" A site intended to spread celtic culture and activitiesin Spanish, along with local and foreign co-equipers. Surpassingnowadays the number of 8000 followers.

On September 2011 createdthe Facebook Page "Love of Rhiannon - The Celtic Moon Goddess". A siteintended to spread celtic culture and related sources regarding the Moon Goddess in her many aspects.

On May 2012 he began to publish his books which also include his digital artworks for their covers andinterior design. Artworks that can be found in high resolution at his"deviantArt/branawen" site amongst many other collaborations andcommissioned works. �

On June 2013 he begins a joint-venture with the celebrated Asturian writer and reviewer Xurde Mor�n, and bothpublished the eBook "The Primitive Way between Asturias and Galicia -Road Diary". Besides, he also created and supports his personal blog(xurdemoran.blogspot.com) and Facebook Pages.

A Must Read for Serious Harpers/Harpists

I was greatly impressed by the amount of history of the celtic harp in this book. No more searching the internet for articles. All the work has been done and compiled in this book. It is NOT a dry historical book; it is an entertaining and informative read. I personally discovered that reading this book helped me to connect even deeper with my harp and the music I play. I would recommend this book to all lever harp and pedal harp players and students, as well as craftsmen who build harps. It is also interesting for anyone curious about Celtic lifestyle and history. I took a chance purchasing the download and I am very glad I did!!!

Good summary of the history of the Celtic Harp

This book is a good summary of the history of the Celtic Harp. It only gets four stars as some of the English writing style is not very good, no doubt due to English being a second language for the Author. The history of the Celtic harp in the Spanish celtic regions and also Brittany is a welcome highlight of this little book.

I found this a very enjoyable history of the Celtic harp in Scotland and Ireland. Sadly, the rich history of the Welsh harp is not fully explored, only mentioned. The author is sometimes repetitious. The editing and text formatting is at times messy, but overall this is a useful history for harpers all over the world.

They make it possible to determine im� portant parameters in detonation physics. I have made a great attempt to cover the available literature data on the subject. Because it would be a highly demanding task to include in a single volume all the methods that are in use by various testing agencies, I have tried to give primarily the principles for determination of individual physical pa� rameters of explosives by different measuring methods as well as data treatment procedures.

Excellent book. This may be one of the rare books on the market that covers physics of explosives, and the only one about test methods for explosives.I think that everyone who works with explosives must have this book. My conclusion is that this is very well writen book, wort every penny that I paid for it.

As a few other readers have said, this is a slightly obscure and nowadays hard to get book, however anyone with a serious interest in the detailed history of Rhodesia and its transition to Zimbabwe should get a copy and read this book.
It is worth reading this book in conjunction with Ian Smith's autobiography "Bitter Harvest" to better appreciate the two very different viewpoints of their author's descriptions of the same set of events. Particularly so as these two men probably knew more about, and were more influential in, the happenings of that time than anyone else.

Apart from the political and philosophical viewpoints, Ken Flower's book in particular reveals to some extent the real movers and shakers behind the scenes, those faceless "officials" in all Governments who make assessments, influence politicians and do deals behind the scenes and out of the headlines. It also alludes to the real reasons behind many of the happenings in Rhodesia and Southern Africa generally, which were much more to do with the commercial interests of governments and multinational companies than they were about democracy or human rights. Political expediency, appeasement and short-term personal gain are revealed as prime motivators. No doubt this applied to many other conflicts going back into history and still does apply today.

Another book to read in conjunction with this one is "See You in November" by Peter Stiff, the story of Alan "Taffy" Brice, one of CIO's key undercover agents in Zambia. Many of the questions that appear unanswered in that book make sense when reading Ken Flower's book, as he obviously instigated and directed many of the James Bond style events that are related by "Taffy".

It is clear from Flower's book that he was a significant political force in Rhodesia in his own right, although he was un-elected and largely unknown to most people at the time or since. However, he clearly had his own very strong views and political agenda and used his extraordinary position, influence and his many contacts to further those whenever possible. Especially during the closing stages of the Rhodesian war and the transition to Zimbabwe, from his own account he could well be said to have been the main driving force directing events from behind the scenes.

Suspected by many of being a "double agent" whose first loyalty was to the British, it seems very likely that either he or his organisation was instrumental in compromising many Rhodesian security force external operations, and specifically providing tip-offs about assassination attempts on both Nkomo and Mugabe. Read his words and form your own opinions on this.

On the down-side it is a bit of a text-book style of read, despite being filled with momentous and life-changing events. A little hard to get a direct feel for Ken Flower the man himself. Rather like Ian Smith's books, much specific detail is left unsaid, or talked about in very general terms, perhaps to protect others. There are also one or two significant factual errors which I picked up, such as the account of the loss of Rhodesian forces during Operation Uric. Compare his account to that in "The Search for Puma 164". That tends to make one question the accuracy of some other facts he presents and wonder whether he was as well informed about military affairs as he thought he was.

Altogether a fascinating read for those who want to fill in some of the gaps in many of the other accounts of those times.

Challenging but worth it

To study for my boards I used this book and the official ASCP review book. In my opinion the ASCP review book was a waste of money. The questions in that book are a lot easier and very few of the questions have decent explanations of the answers. I learned so much more from Harr's review book because on the opposite side of the page for every question is an explanation of not only why the answer is what it is but also why the other choices were not correct. The ASCP review book for most of the questions does not provide a reason behind the answer but a reference to another book for more information or just repeats the question into the explanation.

I also liked Harr's review book better because of the CD that came with it. It has more picture based questions and a way for you to customize your quizzes so you can choose how many questions you want, which disciplines of CLS you want questions to be taken from, and the difficulty level of the questions. After you finish the quiz it will give you a percentage break down of how well you did in each area so you know where you need to focus your studying too. The CD does not give you explanations of the answers however, just what the correct answers are.

The only negative I can say for Harr's review book is that because the questions are much harder I only got about 75% of the questions in most sections and for some areas I couldn't even break 70%. So you have to keep in the mind set that you are not supposed to know the answers to all of these questions (but good for you if you do!). Even with those percentages I easily passed the boards and it was because of this book. I never looked over my books or notes from my classes and after going through the ASCP review book once, never picked it up again because the questions were not helpful to me without a decent explanation behind the answer.

Highly recommend this book and do not worry at all about not buying the ASCP review book. You will sail through the boards if you use this book taking care to read the explanation of the answers even when you get the question right because there is information in there that goes beyond the question. The best thing I learned from this book was how to work through a question so when I didn't know the answer to a question on the boards exam I could work through why each possible answer was wrong to determine which answer must be right. And this book really helps train you how to be able to do this if used properly.

This is a must-have review book for ASCP

I studied with this book for about 2 weeks and I'm convinced it made all the difference in the world. It's the best way to study, with questions and answers + in depth explanations right on the same page. The CD was very helpful because you can male your own tests by selecting the number of questions, specific areas to be tested over and level of question (so if you really want to test yourself you can choose only level 3). the only problem with the CD is that there are no explanations but it's a good way to test yourself and see your week areas and where to go back to your notes to study up on. But I truly think the book itself is a great review guide since it hits on pretty much everything you could be tested over.

I went into the test and passed on the first try. Everyone said it would be so hard I would pass but I'd be having a nervous break down, but after studying with this book, it felt like a piece of cake. I was done with the test in under an hour and they give you 2.5 hours.

Please buy this book. you'll thank yourself

have to admit that this book is one the best compared to all the other review books I have come across. When I was preparing to take the ASCP test I mostly studied from this book and, after I went through almost all the sections at least twice, I felt I was ready. The test wasn't easy, but if you go through the explanations offered for both right and wrong answers you have a very good chance of passing. I was able to pass the test with a very high score due in part to the in-depth explanations the authors provided. Remember, you must be willing to put the effort in to go through the feedbacks even when you answer a question correctly.

Perfect Ending to this amazing journey

Afterglow is the final volume in
Kora Knight's Up-Ending Tad Series.
I can't begin to put in words what a great series this.

Kora was brilliant in this book she caught every aspect of their relationship and brought us such a perfect ending to a journey that will forever stay with me.

In previous books we witnessed the relationship between Scott and Tad grow, we had some angst and Tad had to learn to accept his true self and admit that the feelings he had were sincere and how he would learn to deal with them.

Scott was patient he knew how much he wanted Tad but he had to let him grow and finally admit that this was real and it was time to fess up.

This story proved so much it showed us how Tad stood up for what he wanted and didn't look back . It was beautiful I loved how strong he became and watching how Scott managed to fall deeper and get "shy boy" to voice what it was that he wanted.

The sex in this book was so hot, these two are explosive with each other and watching the trust that Tad had with Scott was just the icing on the cake. Tad has opened up so much although he still has that red blushing that Scott so loves, he is more brazen and asks for what he wants and shows new meaning to "Topping from the bottom" and well that just stirs Scott on and we are left reaping the benefits.

The admitted feelings between them both was so heartwarming and I'm missing these two already but...... As you read in the end the excerpt for Max and Sean's book I'm excited that we will still get catch ups on my two favorite guys.

I can't recommend this series enough so if you haven't read it yet run and start from volume one you will not be disappointed.

Time to say goodbye to our favorite Men

I have loved this series. Tad and Scott's journey is surprising, frustrating, heartwarming and very, very sexy. But, I am not reviewing the entire series - but the sixth book. This book was definitely a 4.25 out of 5 stars read.

If you've read my reviews of the first books in the series, I loved the change in the arc of the storyline. It started out highly erotic and moved into a more contemporary romance feel as Tad recognized his feelings and it became more than sex. However the storyline drifted back to highly erotic in this last installment. Is that a bad thing? Hell no. Then why the .75 star deduction. A very wise person told me: Review the book you read, not the book you wished it was. Okay breaking my rule. Because the book was wonderfully written and edited. Had a great pace. But, it wasn't the book I hoped it to be. In the last book, Tad realized he wanted an open relationship with Scott. I just wish there was a bit more of that. What I got was a very emotionally attached, erotic read between two adults that clearly love each other. It was HOT. It was SEXY. Just lacked a bit of romance for me that book 5 had.

Overall, reading the series book one through six - it's a 5 star read. If you love erotica, same sex romance, I definitely recommend this series. It's a binge read all the way through. Ms Knight also gives a taste of the next characters she plans to explore - and that was without question intriguing for me!

I bought several books on stable and Equestrian Facilities before I bought this one because it was so expensive. Then I borrowed it through interlibrary loan and realized I should have saved the money spent on those other books and just bought this one.

All in one, broad scope, in depth treatment, this is it.
