Actual practical advice. Do X and you will be less anxious. I wish more books were immediately applicable and effective like this. Many of the techniques or ways of thinking worked for me. I return to the book when I am feeling particularly anxious and I am always able to snap out of it.
Makes the great and true point that people tend to panic or be anxious about panicking more than about the actual problem at hand.

Definitely Recommend

Loving this book. Got it about a week ago today. Started using techniques as I was reading them, already getting me in the right direction. Making me want to start getting in a zen like state of mind. Even started doing yoga as a result. I read a few people complaining about the scientific stuff in the beginning as a bad thing, but the best thing about it, is that it makes you realize that it will take a while to start changing your brains chemical make up, which affects your anxiety so much, can't be done in a day. But you can change it with your thought process, with the key being persistence and to keep going until it does. She even says in the book that doing these techniques for 3 weeks or so is comparable to taking a medication, as most of those take 3 weeks or so to kick in as well. But, in my opinion, better than the medication, because you are solving the problem instead of just dealing with it. Definitely feeling this is leading me down a good path.

Highly Recommended book!

This book helped me understand and cure my anxiety. I experienced what I would call a nervous breakdown that came out of nowhere and lasted three weeks. I literally thought I would need to be admitted to a mental hospital... The thoughts of doom are horrific. I was able to understand that by my chronic stress and anger towards work had manifested into severe anxiety, I tried medication and it wasn't for me. I took some time off work and rested, stared journaling, started positive self talk, exercising, and figuring out what the triggers for me were, one was caffeine.. It has been four weeks since my last anxiety attack and I still am unable to handle even a cup of coffee.. I believe this book helped me and I highly recommend it!
